Rated 5 out of 5 by dreilly from Excellent power consumption and fantastic cooling Got one of these for my mum, when the compressor is running it draws a bit over 80 watts, and keeps her room at whatever temperature she likes. Put a meter on this unit and during summer time with average to large usage you are looking at roughly 5-7 bucks per week to run it (calculated at 24c per KW).

Wall units are getting harder to get, but this one is well priced for the functions it has and it cools our open lounge area easily (about 20 square meters). It replaced a 15 year old LG unit that had a higher cooling rating but the Kelvinator seems to do the job just as well. The overall finish does seem a little bit cheaper, dust filter for the evaporator is pretty flimsy and the filter cover takes a bit of wriggle to get the clips to line up and clip in. Also there is no wall mount for the remote which seems like a silly way to save money. Luckily we have a 3D printer, so we just printed one. The instillation instructions are a bit vague in places but nothing you cant sort out with a couple of google searches. One thing they did do that I thought was clever, was to increase the cooling capacity by having a larger condenser core that wraps around the back and part way down one side of the unit. It makes the unit deeper but reduces the width, so you end up with a smaller presence inside with a higher cooling capacity. In general compared to the 15 year old unit it replace, price wise it cost about the same, so pretty good value that way. The quality of the finish and the accessories were a tiny bit of a let down, but the functionality made up for it.

Cools quickly, easy to operate and virtually no installation...you just unpack it, sit it on the window sill and plug it in. Haven't received an electricity bill yet so can't comment on the running costs. At this stage don't care...our temperatures got in the mid 40Cs for consecutive days and living in an old fibro house, with no shade trees on the property we managed to keep our living areas around 23C. Without it we would have been in the mid 30s. Very happy and would recommend especially to those in rental properties as no installation is required and you can tale it with you when you leave.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jovilo from A well-designed unit with simple to use controls. I searched several stores for this type of air conditioner to suit my budget and planned installation area. The unit is operating in an climate of hot and humid weather in summer and is very efficient in de-humidifying the rooms for which it is installed. The effectiveness and cost of the unit are greater than the expected outcome which is an added bonus. I recommended the air conditioner to a friend who immediately purchased a unit.
